Board Member Application

The Conexion de Negocios Latinos (CNL) Board is composed of committed individuals who actively contribute to the mission and vision of supporting Latino businesses and communities in Arkansas. Our board members are passionate about economic empowerment and fostering entrepreneurial opportunities in underserved communities. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Board and help drive our mission forward.

 Board terms are for 3 years, renewable upon mutual agreement.

Section 5.03 Election and Term of Office  The initial Directors of the Corporation shall be those persons specified in the Certificate of Incorporation of the Corporation. Each Director shall hold office (1) for three years after such time the Directors may be re-elected or the Director’s successor will be elected and qualified or (2) until his or her death, resignation or removal. Directors shall serve for a three year term and shall be eligible for re-election.

Board Responsibilities Include:

• Representing Latino Businesses: Serve as a liaison between CNL and Latino small businesses in your community.
• Distributing Conecta+ Magazine: Find and distribute the Conecta+ magazine at 10 locations within your network to enhance its reach.
• Identifying Sponsors: Identify and secure at least one sponsor for the Arkansas Latino Business Awards (ALBA) gala.
• Promoting CNL's Mission: Engage with the community both in person and online, promoting the mission of CNL through social media and outreach efforts.
• Event Participation: Assist in selecting award recipients and presenting awards such as Small Business of the Year And Latino Trailblazer at the ALBA gala event.

Time Commitment:

2-6 hours per month.

Meeting Times:

• Monthly Meeting: Third Thursday of every month at 9:30 a.m. (75% attendance required)

By submitting this application, I understand that as a member of the CNL Board, I will be expected to contribute 2-6 hours per month, distribute the Conecta+ magazine at 10 locations, and identify at least one sponsor for the ALBA gala. I agree to attend 75% of the monthly meetings and special events.
